GTA 6
The development of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) cost up to $2 billion, exceeding the construction cost of the world's tallest building — the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which was built for $1.5 billion.
The GTA 6 project has been in development for over 13 years, including about 8 years of active work. Thousands of specialists from around the world are involved in the game's creation, using advanced technologies such as photorealistic graphics, complex AI systems, motion capture, and extensive voice acting.
GTA 6 is expected to become the most expensive entertainment project in history, potentially recouping its investment quickly thanks to the franchise's high popularity.
This comparison highlights the growing significance of digital products in the modern economy, where virtual worlds require investments comparable to major architectural structures.

According to a study conducted by experts from Cohere Labs, Stanford and Princeton Universities, and other institutions, major tech companies including Meta, Google, and OpenAI used privileged access to the Chatbot Arena platform to conduct private testing of their AI models. This allowed them to select the best versions for public release, which distorted the objectivity of the rankings.
Key findings of the study:
These actions undermine trust in Chatbot Arena as an objective platform for AI model evaluation and highlight the need to revise its policies to ensure fairness and transparency.

AWS has changed the pricing model for CloudWatch Logs in Lambda, introducing a tiered pricing structure that may reduce costs for users with high log volumes.
New pricing model:
This model is automatically applied to all Lambda logs sent to CloudWatch Logs, with no need for code or configuration changes.
Additional features:
These changes aim to reduce costs and provide users with more options for managing Lambda logs.

Meta has introduced a preview version of the API for its Llama AI models, allowing businesses to use these models without the need to download and run them locally. This move aims to simplify Llama integration into enterprise applications and reduce reliance on third-party providers. The API offers simple setup, compatibility with existing tools, and access to the latest Llama models, including Llama 4 Scout and Maverick.
Meta representatives emphasized that the new service provides developers with full control over their models and weights, without being tied to a specific API. This reflects the company's commitment to offering a more open and flexible alternative to existing AI solutions. With this API launch, Meta takes a significant step toward delivering cloud-based AI infrastructure tailored for enterprise clients.

In April 2025, GCC 15.1 was released — a significant update to the GNU Compiler Collection. The new version brings expanded programming language support, including Rust, C, C++, and COBOL, along with performance and diagnostics improvements.
Key highlights include the default transition of the C compiler to the C23 standard, providing full support for the latest language specifications. For Rust, basic support for inline assembly has been added and the minimum required language version was lowered to 1.49, expanding compilation capabilities. Also, for the first time, the ISO COBOL compiler named gcobol was integrated into GCC, opening new opportunities for supporting legacy but still-in-use systems.
Additionally, GCC 15.1 improves performance when compiling large source files, especially with the -Wmisleading-indentation warning enabled, and provides more accurate error location reporting in code. The updated vectorizer can now handle early-exit loops even with unknown element counts, enhancing code optimization efficiency.
These improvements make GCC 15.1 a major step forward in compiler development, offering developers broader capabilities and improved support for modern programming standards.
